This unit is designed to develop students' awareness of communication issues within organisational settings and their own capacity as professionals to communicate effectively. The unit emphasises the importance of effective communication both oral and written, introduces models of communication and focuses on communication as process and transaction. Overall the unit is designed to allow students the opportunity to explore the ways in which intrapersonal, interpersonal, group and organisational communication are experienced within organisations.

This Communication Content/Skills Training Course will provide you with essential skills to communicate more effectively:

  1. You will feel more confident to express your ideas and opinions through a richer and more fluent language.
  2. You will be more effective when communicating in different business communication situations: meetings, negotiations, written/oral environments and especially in communicating with people from different cultures than yours.
  3. You will get the best possible results from interviews and important meetings.
  4. You will avoid the perils and costs of badly worded messages and mis-understandings.
